Case Handler (St Leonards on Sea)

Our client who operate a reputable company in St Leonards have an exciting vacancy available for a Case Handler who will play a key role in the business overall, reporting to the Conveyancers as well as liaising with other Team Leaders or Managers within the company about the delivery

Main Duties

  • Managing on a day to day basis a caseload within the Transactional Team which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.

  • Taking instructions from the Conveyancer carrying out instructions set via tasks set by the Conveyancer.

  • Draft legal documents, to include: o Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs o Exchange letters, Freehold AP1s, Freeform letters.

  • All general administration duties.

  • Speak to clients and third parties via telephone and give messages to the appropriate person.

  • Ensure files are kept up to date and in an orderly fashion.

  • Complete searches for Land Registry, Pre-completion and Conveyancing.

  • Communicate with the rest of the team with a friendly professional attitude.

Qualification’s Skills and Experience Required

  • Have and maintain a positive attitude and flexible approach to your work and your colleagues.

  • Demonstrate a professional work ethic.

  • Excellent time keeping.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.

  • Personal commitment to equality and diversity.

  • GCSE, or equivalent in Maths and English with a minimum grade C.

  • A level, or equivalent, in Maths and English with a minimum grade C.

  • Relevant experience would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.

  • Excellent communication skills, well-spoken and personable; able to get on with diverse personalities.

  • Friendly and approachable, reliable and consistent with flexible attitude to working practices and demands.

  • Good time management and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or within a team.

  • Personal commitment to equality and diversity.
