Finance Manager (Hastings)

Our client is looking for a finance manager to join their team in Hastings.


Main Duties

Payroll

  • Oversee all submissions for PAYE, pension and tax payments

  • Provide PAYE reporting for Director review as required

Bank reconciliations

  • Oversee all bank account activity and reporting. Advise Directors as required

Reporting

  • Create monthly and annual reports – i.e. balance sheet, Profit and loss, Cashflow, site budgets, weekly/monthly site labour, applications vs monthly costs and adhoc reports etc for Director review

  • Produce finance packs for the Director as required

  • Produce monthly CIS/VAT returns for submission

  • Monitor and track cashflow for Director review

  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government legislation as required

  • Examine all financial reports and make the Director aware of any discrepancies or error in data

  • Oversee all financial reporting for the business

Book Keeping

  • Oversea all applications for payment. Liaise with the Commercial and Project Managers regarding all applications for payment, final account and ongoing issue resolution.

Dealing with supplier/client account queries

  • Provide the main financial point of contact for external suppliers and clients issue resolution.

Management support

  • Providing relevant information to internal management regarding forecast figures, labour costs etc.

Invoice financing

  • Oversee all invoice financing activities and build/maintain reporting system for Director review.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience of at least 2 years within a finance/account senior management/director role.

  • Must have experience working on Xero

  • Must have experience of working with Invoice financing

  • A keen eye for detail, well organised and analytical

  • Must be computer literate, with experience of using payroll software

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain client/supplier existing relationships

  • A proactive approach to work and an understanding of your contribution to the company as a whole, with the desire to continually build and improve systems of work

Hours

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8am – 5pm

  • 40 hours a week
