Food Production Line Team Leader

We are currently looking for a food production line team supervisor to join our client’s team in food production. You will be expected to oversee the operation of night shifts. You will need the ability to learn quickly as during training you will be required to learn production, packaging and cleaning operations. The position will involve coverage of any absences and an ability to make decisions promptly. Previous experience in food manufacturing/production is preferred.

Main Duties

• Carry out all basic food hygiene to meet company standards and procedures

• Carry out all health and safety checks and procedures

• Ability to use touch screen computers to operate production line

• Supervise machinery and staff

• Monitor machinery through production process

• Setting and programming machinery for food processing

• To carry out start up procedures on working days

• Ability to take readings and record all parameters accurately and neatly

• Be able to follow instructions and learn quickly

• Quality control inspection

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic food hygiene certification preferred

• Previous experience of “high risk” food production is preferred but not essential as full training can be provided

• Computer literate and familiar with touch screen technology

• Able to follow instructions unsupervised

• Previous experience in food manufacturing/production

• Must have transport/licence due to location

Working Hours

Mondays to Wednesdays

Working 36 hours across 3 x 12-hour shifts

18:00pm to 06:00am
