Our client looking to recruit a New Build Case Handler to join our team working from home.

This would suit a person with a background of working in Conveyancing or similar environment or with experience in running their own case load. New Build experience would be preferable but not essential.

Main Duties:

· You will be responsible for managing a caseload on a day-to-day basis which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.

· Daily tasks will include – taking instructions and completing tasks set by the Conveyancer. Drafting legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange letters, Freehold AP1’s and freeform letters.

· You will carry out Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and checking account ledgers.

· You will be required to deal professionally with other lawyers, developers, estate agents and third parties associated with the transactions and be accountable for your own files, the advice/guidance given, and other legal aspects on property transactions which you are working on.

· You will be required carry file housekeeping including checking to see if files are ‘live’, ensure compliance and if files can be archived.

· You will need to carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely.

· Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion ensuring all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place


· Excellent communicator

· Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in conveyancing (doesn’t have to be new build related but they must know conveyancing process start to finish)

· Good time management

· Organisational and problem-solving skills

· Confident

· Able to work alone or as part of a team

· Knowledge of Case Management Systems

· Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
