New Building Case Handler (Remote)

Our client looking to recruit a New Build Case Handler to join our team working from home.

This would suit a person with a background of working in Conveyancing or similar environment or with experience in running their own case load. New Build experience would be preferable but not essential.

Main Duties:

  • You will be responsible for managing a caseload on a day-to-day basis which includes all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction to completion, registration and closure of the file.

  • Daily tasks will include – taking instructions and completing tasks set by the Conveyancer. Drafting legal documents including Standard Precedent Letters, Contract Packs, Exchange letters, Freehold AP1’s and freeform letters.

  • You will carry out Post Completion work including preparing and sending applications to the Land Registry, Stamp Duty Land Tax submissions, file closures and checking account ledgers.

  • You will be required to deal professionally with other lawyers, developers, estate agents and third parties associated with the transactions and be accountable for your own files, the advice/guidance given, and other legal aspects on property transactions which you are working on.

  • You will be required carry file housekeeping including checking to see if files are ‘live’, ensure compliance and if files can be archived.

  • You will need to carry out Pre-completion, Land Registry and Conveyancing searches accurately and timely.

  • Ensure the file is ready for exchange and completion ensuring all the correct and necessary paperwork and funds are in place


  • Excellent communicator

  • Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in conveyancing (doesn’t have to be new build related but they must know conveyancing process start to finish)

  • Good time management

  • Organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Confident

  • Able to work alone or as part of a team

  • Knowledge of Case Management Systems

  • Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
