Production Manager (Newhaven)
My client is an acclaimed, award-winning company based just outside Brighton; due to company expansion, they are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to oversee the smooth running of projects, ensuring a successful outcome.
Main Duties
A wide range of skills within prop making/production management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the industry.
Required skills woodworking, metal work, poly carving/fibre glassing, spray paint, and scenic paint and general prop making.
The ability to design and develop prototypes and work out best ways to manufacture.
Advise the project managers on ways of making when quoting projects.
Design skills in packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and CAD or sketching skills, sketch up would be advantageous.
Oversee and manage team members on production runs within the workshop
Maintain a tidy and organised workshop, assisting with stock control.
Research and develop new materials and relations with suppliers.
Maintain successful working relationships with production/project managers team ensuring there is no shortfall in communication.
Manage onsite installations

Excellent interpersonal skills
Sound commercial skills with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within this industry
Good knowledge of the materials and processes used in the manufacture of props
A self-starting and motivating personality – a ‘can do ‘attitude
Flexibility
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and adapt to changing demands
A creative and innovate approach to problem solving
Own transport

Salary
£35,000 to £45,000
