Sales Manager (Hastings)

Our Client is an independent estate agent selling property in Hastings, St Leonards and the surrounding areas. The estate agent has quickly established itself as one of the leading agencies in town. They have won multiple awards for their service and their sales numbers are consistently the second highest of all agencies in the area: In the last 12 months they have agreed over 500 sales.

They have created a truly unique agency with a standout brand and ethos. Their team has decades of experience in estate agency and the wider property industry. They do not have a rigid and robotic corporate feel and they do not pit themselves against one another. They are a genuine team who want to provide the best service they can to vendors and buyers alike and they support each other in doing so.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy agency and help lead the team forward. The successful person will be an experienced estate agent with demonstrable sales skills. They will be driven and use that drive to inspire those around them. The Client has options for candidates, who are looking for the roles of Sales Manager, Branch Manager and Senior Valuer. They have the flexibility to change things internally, depending on the person they find.

Candidates will also need to have exceptional interpersonal skills as a large proportion of the role is speaking to our customers about selling their homes; an asset not just worth hundreds of thousands of pounds but which often carries an even more significant sentimental value.

The Client is building a team of exceptional people who want a career in estate agency and our Sales Manager is integral to the retention and development of that team.

Main Duties

The role will be part office based and part travelling to properties in the local area. Duties will include, though not limited to:

  • Property valuations

  • Sales negotiation

  • Team management

  • Applicant registration and management

  • Viewings management

  • Diary management

  • The successful candidate will be committed and conscientious; a great communicator who has good attention to detail.

  • To successfully fill the role, you will need to be confident at dealing with people face to face and over the phone.

Qualification’s Skills and Experience

  • Must have experience of working within property sales

  • Must have experience in property valuations

  • Must have sales property management experience

  • Must have management skills to run a team of sales people

  • Must have experience in managing sales KPI’s for sales team

  • Must have experience in all sales procedures, i.e., media platforms, viewings, negotiations, aftersales, advertising, valuations

  • You must have a full driving license and your own car.

Benefits and Working Hours

  • Basic salary will be dependent on experience, plus a generous fixed percentage commission structure.

  • Annual Leave: 28 days, including Bank Holidays

  • Working pattern: 5 days per week, including Saturday, with one week day off in lieu.

  • Company Opening times: Monday - Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and Saturday 9.00am-4.00pm.
