Trainee Manager (Hastings)
Our client is a prestigious company based, in Hastings. They are looking for a Trainee Manager to join their busy team.
They are looking for a management trainee to help develop and implement their growth strategies. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a managerial role with advancement potential.
During your traineeship, you will learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. You’ll get to know the nuts and bolts of the company’s functions and operations and you’ll support their management team with daily tasks such as sales, marketing, management and administration. To succeed in this role, strong analytical skills and effective communication are important management trainee qualifications you should have.

Main Duties
Must be able to communicate with retail and commercial customers on the telephone and face to face
Must be able to learn to manage a productive team
Able to learn all Company’s management systems
Ability to learn surveying and estimating on shop floor inhouse and on site
Ability to do administration duties – quotes, emails, spreadsheets, letters and other duties as and when required
Learn Company business from shop floor to management level
Able to multi task various duties
Supporting marketing campaigns
Supporting managers with various tasks (e.g., policy making, goal setting)
Create and give presentations
Research ways to increase profitability and lower risk
Get familiar with personnel and company duties
Understand each department’s (e.g., Marketing, Sales) daily processes and goals
Qualification’s Skills and Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office
Experienced in Spreadsheets
Must have an understanding of sales and communicating with retail and commercial customers
Strong verbal and written presentation skills
Excellent math’s and computational ability
Effective communication skills
Must have a full driving licence (no more than 6 points on licence)
Must have the able to understand all mathematical measurements
Must have strong character and willing to learn new skills
A degree in Management or Business would be an advantage
Knowledge of surveying and estimating would be an advantage
Experience in management or similar/relevant field (e.g., Sales, Customer Services, etc.), would be advantage
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturdays
Hours between 7.00am to 6pm, but must be flexible
