Welder/Fabricator (Paddock Wood)

Our Client is recruiting for an experienced plater/fabricator welder to join their expanding Company based in Paddock Wood, Kent.
Main Duties
Experienced in light and heavy sheet metalwork, structural and architectural fabrication.
Perform efficient welding of various metal objects
Proficient with all workshop skills and equipment.
Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies to meet drawing requirements, using straight edges, squares, angle plates, blocks, clamps, and pointers.
Read and understand technical drawings including weld symbols.
Thorough understanding of measuring tools such as callipers, rules, feeler gauges, and pi tapes.
Analyse diagrams and specifications and cut all metal accordingly
Qualifications and Experience
Must have full competency within a range of welding and fabrication activities including MIG and TIG welding, stainless steel, steel and aluminium.
Good engineering problem solving skills.
Knowledge and understanding of manufacture drawings and tolerancing.
Good communication skills.
Flexible and enthusiastic in approach.
Team player with the ability to work with people at all levels.
High level of attention to detail.
Commitment to quality.
Computer literate
Must be able to work to different tolerances
Perform all welding work with the help of forming and cutting equipment
Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products
Hours
Monday to Friday 7am-5pm
