HGV 1 Driver (East Sussex)

We are looking to add a C+E HGV driver to our pool of drivers. The candidate will operate out of multiple reputable companies based in several locations in East Sussex. This is an adhoc position on the client’s request.

Main Duties

• Deliver an array of goods safely and intact within a timely manner.

• Responsible for managing your own working time directive, walk-around checks before each journey commences and maintaining the condition of your vehicle.

• Communicate effectively to both customers and management.

• Deliveries and collections to mainly BN and TN post codes.

• Physically able to manoeuvre Pallets with the use of a pump truck.

• Able to strap and secure your load.

Qualification’s Skills and Experience

• Must HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) with no more than 6 points on licence.

• Must have a minimum of 6 months commercial experience.

• Be physically fit.

• Valid Tacho card.

• Valid CPC qualification.

Working Hours

• Working 8 to12 hour shifts.

• Mondays to Fridays.

• Starting time usually 7am.
